Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Castroville, TX

Our practice is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care Clinic in Castroville, TX just 6 miles west of San Antonio. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills as well as a desire to work collaboratively with our Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners and be part of a team-oriented medical practice.

Responsibilities:

• Rooms patients according to the specifications of the clinic and provider
• Prepares charts for clinical patients
• Performs in-take of all required patient vital signs, relevant medical history, and clinical information with proper documentation
• Assists with sending prescriptions
• Enters all required information into the EMR system
• Performs EKG's when needed
• Answer transferred phone calls and assist the MedCare call center in providing support for patient requests
• Cleans and stocks assigned exam rooms
• Adheres to proper standard precautions when required in the clinical setting
• Work with team members to provide top notch medical care to our patients
• Additional duties as requested according to practice needs
• May be asked to travel to another MedCare clinic when short-staffed
• New Medical Assistant graduates are encouraged to apply

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
