<span><b>  Job Title: Consultant Interventional Cardiologist</b><br> <br>Department: Cardiology<br>Reports To: Head of Cardiology / Medical Director<br> <br><b>  Job Summary:</b><br> <br>The Consultant Interventional Cardiologist is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular diseases requiring interventional procedures. The role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic catheter-based interventions, managing complex cardiac cases, leading clinical programs, and contributing to quality improvement and training initiatives within the department.<br> <br><b>  Key Responsibilities:</b><br> <br>Perform diagnostic coronary angiography, angioplasty, and stent implantation with high clinical standards.<br> <br>Conduct percutaneous interventions for structural and peripheral vascular diseases.<br> <br>Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.<br> <br>Participate in emergency cardiac care, including primary PCI for acute coronary syndromes.<br> <br>Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and critical care specialists for integrated cardiac care.<br> <br>Review and interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other diagnostic imaging.<br> <br>Supervise and mentor junior cardiologists, fellows, and nursing staff.<br> <br>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest interventional technologies, equipment, and best practices.<br> <br>Participate in departmental audits, morbidity/mortality meetings, and quality assurance programs.<br> <br>Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.<br> <br><b>  Qualifications &amp; Experience:</b><br> <br>MBBS / MD / DM (Cardiology) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.<br> <br>Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology (mandatory).<br> <br>Valid professional license (e.g., DHA / HAAD / MOH / SCFHS / QCHP, as applicable).<br> <br>Minimum 8 10 years of post-specialization experience, including 5+ years in interventional practice.<br> <br>Proven record of performing coronary and complex interventional procedures independently.<br> <br>  Key Skills &amp; Competencies:<br> <br>Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac interventions.<br> <br>Strong decision-making and clinical judgment.<br> <br>Excellent communication and leadership skills.<br> <br>Ability to work effectively under pressure in acute care settings.<br> <br>Commitment to continuous professional development and patient safety.<br><br></span></div>
