Staff Specialist - Cardiologist Electrophysiology & General Cardiology Public Health Service Tasmania Permanent Full-Time $216,300 - $296,640 + Incentives & Allowances We are recruiting for a leading tertiary hospital in southern Tasmania that is seeking a dedicated Staff Specialist - Cardiologist with expertise in electrophysiology to join their well-established Cardiology Department. This position offers an excellent mix of clinical, teaching, and research responsibilities in one of Australia's most scenic and lifestyle-friendly regions. The Role: As a Consultant Cardiologist, you will contribute to the general clinical workload of the department and play a key leadership role in the delivery of electrophysiology services. You will work within a highly integrated team that includes a Coronary Care Unit, Cardiology Ward, Cardiac Catheter Lab, and Non-Invasive Testing Unit. Services also extend statewide and include telehealth where appropriate. Your responsibilities will include: <ul><li>Providing inpatient and outpatient cardiology services with a focus on heart rhythm disorders </li><li>Leading weekly case discussions for complex device implantation and ablation </li><li>Supporting nurse-led clinics in electrophysiology and rhythm management </li><li>Participating in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education </li><li>Contributing to quality improvement, clinical governance, and ongoing service development </li><li>Actively participating in research and maintaining a strong academic presence </li> </ul>Key Requirements: <ul><li>Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Cardiology </li><li>Sub-specialisation in electrophysiology and cardiac devices strongly preferred </li><li>Current or eligible Specialist Registration with AHPRA </li><li>Demonstrated clinical leadership in tertiary or large regional hospital settings </li><li>Commitment to evidence-based care, teaching, and continuous improvement </li> </ul>Remuneration & Benefits: <ul><li>Base Salary: $216,300 - $296,640 per annum (dependent on experience and seniority) </li><li>Access to senior specialist rates (up to $310,389) if eligible </li><li>Allowances: <ul><li>CPD Allowance: $16,974 p.a.
