Position SummaryFrontline Team Members at Melonhead are the heart of our day-to-day caf&eacute; operations. You'll prep and serve fresh smoothie bowls, juices, coffee, and other menu items while helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming space. This role requires a friendly attitude, attention to detail, and the willingness to do what it takes to keep the caf&eacute; running smoothly, from food prep to dishwashing to sweeping the outdoor patio.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience<ul><li>Greet every customer warmly and help guide them through the menu</li><li>Prepare and serve smoothie bowls, juices, coffee, and yogurt items with consistency and care</li><li>Ensure all orders are accurate, cleanly presented, and timely</li><li>Answer guest questions about ingredients, modifications, and offerings</li><li>Process transactions quickly and correctly using the POS system</li></ul>Caf&eacute; Cleanliness &amp; Maintenance<ul><li>Wash dishes, utensils, and small equipment throughout the shift</li><li>Clean prep stations, blenders, refrigerators, espresso equipment, and sinks daily</li><li>Sanitize high-touch surfaces, counters, and tables regularly</li><li>Perform daily and weekly deep cleaning tasks (e.g. refrigerator drawers, juice wells, under-counter storage)</li><li>Take out trash, compost, and recycling as needed</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized back-of-house and dry storage area</li></ul>Outdoor Caf&eacute; Upkeep<ul><li>Sweep and tidy outdoor seating and entrance areas daily</li><li>Wipe down tables and umbrellas</li><li>Water outdoor plants (if applicable) and help maintain the patio aesthetic</li><li>Assist with setting up or closing down outdoor furniture as needed</li></ul>Restocking &amp; Prep<ul><li>Refill ingredient containers, napkin stations, cups, and cutlery</li><li>Label, rotate, and store prepared food items according to food safety standards</li><li>Prep fruits, toppings, and other ingredients at opening or closing</li><li>Alert the Caf&eacute; Manager when inventory levels are low or items are out of stock</li></ul>Who You Are<ul><li>Friendly, dependable, and self-motivated</li><li>Able to work quickly while maintaining quality</li><li>Willing to jump in wherever needed &mdash; front, back, inside, or outside</li><li>Takes pride in creating a clean and organized environment</li><li>Open to learning and improving through feedback</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior food service or hospitality experience is a plus (not required)</li><li>Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs</li><li>Flexible availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays</li><li>Must be comfortable using cleaning supplies and following safety procedures</li></ul>Pay &amp; Perks<ul><li>Daily pooled tips</li><li>Free smoothie, bowl, or drink per shift (6 hours or more)</li><li>Opportunities for advancement to Shift Lead or Assistant Manager</li><li>Branded caf&eacute; gear and employee discounts</li></ul>Core ValuesWe look for team members who align with our mission and embody these values:<ul><li>Community &ndash; We support each other and the town we serve</li><li>Kindness &ndash; We treat people with respect and warmth</li><li>Coachable &ndash; We are open to feedback and growth</li><li>Clean &amp; Vibrant &ndash; We take pride in our space and our energy</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid training</li></ul>Work Location: In person
