The Video Editor Trainee will support the Creative &amp; Editorial Department in producing engaging video content for MENTISERA's digital platforms. This traineeship is ideal for individuals who want to build a strong video editing portfolio and gain real-world experience in a media, research, and educational environment.You will work on editing social media videos, research explainers, interviews, podcasts, short reels, and promotional content for CWI and its associated projects.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Edit videos for YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and website.</li><li>Create short-form content, reels, and highlight clips from long videos.</li><li>Add subtitles, transitions, sound effects, and basic animations.</li><li>Assist in editing interviews, podcasts, and educational content.</li><li>Support the team during shoots and content planning (if required).</li><li>Maintain organized project files, versions, and backups.</li><li>Follow branding guidelines and ensure consistent quality in all videos.</li><li>Participate in weekly review meetings and revise work based on feedback.</li></ul>Skills Required (Beginner-Friendly)<ul><li>Basic understanding of video editing and storytelling.</li><li>Familiarity with at least one editing tool:</li><li>CapCut (required)</li><li>Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred)</li><li>DaVinci Resolve (plus point)</li><li>Adobe After Effects (optional)</li><li>Good sense of pacing, transitions, and sound syncing.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions, accept feedback, and meet deadlines.</li><li>Creativity and willingness to explore trends in video content.</li></ul>EligibilityStudents or fresh graduates in:<ul><li>Media Studies</li><li>Film &amp; TV</li><li>Mass Communication</li><li>IT / Computer Arts</li><li>Social Sciences with interest in video editing</li></ul>Freelancers or self-taught editors are also encouraged.
