WordPress Trainee

The WordPress Trainee will support the IT & Web Development team in managing, updating, and improving CWI’s websites. This traineeship is ideal for individuals who want hands-on experience in WordPress development, website management, content publishing, and basic SEO.

You will work on updating pages, optimizing performance, creating blog posts, uploading graphics, and assisting with maintenance tasks for CWI and its associated projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Update website pages through WordPress (Gutenberg/Elementor).
• Upload articles, blogs, visuals, and magazine content.
• Assist in creating new pages, layouts, and sections.
• Manage plugins, themes, and basic settings under supervision.
• Ensure website formatting, responsiveness, and clean structure.
• Perform basic SEO tasks like meta tags, URLs, and image optimization.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and editors for web content.
• Conduct regular checks for broken links, errors, and layout issues.
• Maintain backups and organize website files properly.

Skills Required (Beginner-Friendly)

• Basic understanding of websites and WordPress dashboards.
• Familiarity with:
• WordPress (required)
• Elementor or Gutenberg (plus point)
• Basic HTML/CSS (optional)
• Canva or Photoshop for resizing images (plus point)
• Good attention to detail and content formatting.
• Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
• Eagerness to learn website management and SEO.

Eligibility

Students or fresh graduates in:

• IT
• Computer Science
• Software Engineering
• Media Studies
• Business / Social Sciences with interest in WordPress

Freelancers or self-taught learners are also encouraged.
No professional experience required — just willingness to learn and grow.
