Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>
Assess, treats and cares for patients with pulmonary disorders. Responsible for the clinical administration of all therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care modalities offered by the department.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:<ul><li>
Education: Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.</li><li>
Experience: One year previous Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.</li><li>
Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).</li></ul>
Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:
1. Required:
A. Must possess a current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, from the Texas Medical Board, to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas.
B. Must possess a current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) OR must possess a current credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) BEFORE July 1, 2002 (Grandfathered CRT).
C. Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.
2. Preferred:
A. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) must be obtained within 90 days of employment if required by department.
Essential Job Functions:<ul><li>
Operates and sets up devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration, aerosol generators, and disposable respiratory care products while following specific parameters for treatment.</li><li>
Provides emergency care, including artificial ventilation, external cardiac massage, and assists staff with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.</li><li>
Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases and is able to recognize normal, abnormal and critical values and able to provide appropriate corrective intervention.</li><li>
Follows physician orders for treatment and evaluates requirements for treatment, such as treatment type, mode and duration of therapy, universal precautions, and medication dosage.</li><li>
Monitors patient&rsquo;s response to therapy by evaluation of vital signs, arterial blood gases, auscultation of breath sounds, pulse oximetry and end-tidal CO2 measurement.</li><li>
Consults with physicians, nurses and other health care professionals for changes in patient&rsquo;s status and works as part of the team to manage the patient&rsquo;s plan of care.</li></ul>

Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>
In collaboration with the Trauma Center Medical Director provides for the overall coordination of the Trauma Center Strategic Planning, Regulatory Compliance, Performance Improvement, and Registry aspects of the Trauma Center at MHS. This includes strategic planning, marketing, coordinating, evaluating, and promoting the Trauma Center. There shall be evidence of strong communication and collaboration leadership, medical staff and nursing staff as well as the Texas Department of State Health Services, the Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Council and the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma (COT). The Director - Trauma Services will oversee the Trauma Center and report to Division AVP Trauma. The Trauma director will work collaboratively with the Trauma Medical Director and is responsible for assuring all State and Federal regulatory requirements are met, as well as compliance with American College of Surgeons verification requirements. Demonstrates understanding of involvement of all internal and external stakeholders, and assures cost effective patient care processes are met. Collaborates with other health team members by serving in a consultative capacity for trauma services to ensure quality patient care is achieved.
Essential Job Functions:
Leadership Interface and Strategic Initiatives Local, State and National<ul><li>
Manages the operational, personnel and financial aspects of the Level II Trauma Center.</li><li>
Serves as liaison to the Senior Hospital and Medical Staff Leadership to communicate ongoing Trauma Center initiatives.</li><li>
Represent the Level II Trauma Center on various hospital and community committees to enhance and foster optimal trauma care management. 4. Participates in the development and implementation of the Level II Trauma Center Strategic Plan.</li><li>
Communicates with the Texas Department of Health in all trauma regulatory matters.</li><li>
Liaison with state and local public officials in all trauma related issues.</li><li>

Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>
As an Advanced Clinical Oncology ROE Pharmacist, you will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and making recommendations to assure the appropriate and effective use of pharmaceuticals for patient care. What you will do in this role:
<ul><li>As an Advanced Clinical Oncology ROE Pharmacist, you will prevent harm to oncology patients through consistent medication management and order review, writing, and processing.</li><li>
You will provide oncology patient care activities to ensure safe and effective drug therapy in a cost-effective manner utilizing visibility and communication with facilities and formulary management.</li><li>
You will be of service to patients, physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists for oncology pharmacy support via remote communication.</li><li>
You will maintain and improve job knowledge, skills, and competence in adult and oncology pharmaceutical care.</li><li>
You will cover facility for oncology medication management drug information questions, pharmacy orders, consultation services, therapeutic drug monitoring and dosing protocols, nutritional support, and dosing issues.</li><li>
You will use clinical pharmacist workflow systems including the clinical workflow tool and HCA core elements to monitor patient care.</li><li>
You will assist in creating a facility pharmacist education and competency plan for oncology pharmacist skills.</li><li>
You will optimize oncology operational and clinical workflow by utilizing available technology to remotely support improving timely availability of medications, optimization of order sets, and following local formularies.</li><li>
You will assist with the selection strategies and safe use of alternative oncology medications in response to medication shortages.</li><li>
You will facilitate the identification, resolution, implementation, and communication of cost-effective oncology medication-use issues in collaboration with the medical staff.</li><li>
You will assist in developing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy protocols/policies related to oncology.</li><li>
You will conduct profile reviews, antibiotic de-escalation, and pharmacokinetic monitoring on oncology patients.</li></ul>
What qualifications you will need:

In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. What qualifications you will need:</h6>
You should be a graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nurse program.
You should possess your Registered Nurse License to practice as a professional RN in the state of Texas or an Active Multi-State RN Compact License. If you have a Compact License you will be required to obtain a Texas RN License within 60 days of hire.
You should have a minimum of two years of healthcare experience.
It is preferred that you have your BSN and at least 3 years of healthcare experience.
You should have a current American Heart Association BLS Certification

Working under the supervision and guidance of a Respiratory Therapist, the Respiratory Therapy Extern will assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disease processes or respiratory care orders. You will primarily be responsible for non-invasive respiratory care modalities, maintaining patient records and operations of respiratory care equipment.
What you will do in this role:
<ul><li>You will set up and operate therapeutic gas administration, aerosol generators, and disposable medical products, following specific parameters for treatment.</li><li>
You will provide emergency care, including artificial ventilation, external cardiac message, and assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.</li><li>
You will evaluate requirements for treatment, such as treatment type, mode and duration of therapy, universal precautions, medication and dosage, in accordance with physician orders.</li><li>
You will monitor physiological response to therapy, such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, auscultation, and consult with the preceptor and/or shift supervisor for changes in patients&rsquo; status.</li><li>
You will read prescriptions, and review patient information to assess the patient&rsquo;s condition.</li><li>
You will work as part of a team of physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to manage patient care, enforce safety rules, and ensure adherence to the physician&rsquo;s orders.</li></ul>
