14 bed Transplant ICU</li><li>
Patient to nurse ration 2:1, depending on acuity may need 1:1</li><li>
Patient population: ESRD, ESLD, Solid abdominal organ transplant pts (Kidney deceased and living, deceased liver, and pancreas transplants)</li><li>
Unit offers individualized orientation with dedicated preceptors and specialized classes and trainings</li><li>
Doctor involvement with bedside grand rounds and opportunities for education for the staff from the physicians and providers.</li><li>
Our nursing team is dedicated to maintaining a safe patient work environment and welcome new nurses.</li><li>
We are a team-based unit with a family like culture and inclusion. We enjoy teaching moments and opportunities for any level of nursing experience.</li><li>
Nurse leader and educator rounding to ensure all staff have what they need and are receiving the most out of their orientation, training, and nursing experience.</li><li>
Quarterly and as needed staff meetings for updates, changes, progression, and challenges. We like to have fun and will play games at staff meetings.</li></ul>
What is required:
<ul><li>Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree in nursing required</li><li>

 4. Assists the RN to collect data from patients on admission for patient processing and assists with patient transfer or discharge preparations as instructed.
 5. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living to include bathing, shaving, oral care, toileting, grooming, changing linens, providing water, assisting with meal delivery and feeding as directed.
 6. Performs hourly rounding, consistently uses AIDET when interacting with patients and answers and responds to call lights timely.

Working under the supervision and guidance of a Respiratory Therapist, the extern will assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disease processes or respiratory care orders.
