You will evaluate requirements for treatment, such as treatment type, mode and duration of therapy, universal precautions, medication and dosage, in accordance with physician orders.</li><li>
You will monitor physiological response to therapy, such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, auscultation, and consult with the preceptor and/or shift supervisor for changes in patients&rsquo; status.</li><li>
You will read prescriptions, and review patient information to assess the patient&rsquo;s condition.</li><li>

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disorders. You will be responsible for the clinical administration of all therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care modalities offered by the department.
What you will do in this role:

You will consult with physicians, nurses and other health care professionals for changes in patient&rsquo;s status and work as part of the team to manage the patient&rsquo;s plan of care.</li></ul>
What qualifications you will need:
<ul><li>Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.</li><li>
1-year previous Respiratory Therapy experience preferred</li><li>
Must possess a current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Texas Medical Board to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas</li><li>
Must possess a current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) OR must possess a current credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) BEFORE July 1, 2002 (Grandfathered CRT).</li><li>
Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.</li><li>

What is required:
<ul><li>Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree in nursing required
