The brand has built a loyal following through retail partnerships in TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and more. This year, we're expanding into e-commerce and social media, bringing Ruby &amp; Millie directly to beauty lovers online. We specialize in high-quality 'inspired-by' beauty products at mass-market price points. We believe you shouldn't have to choose between quality and affordability and our customers agree.Role OverviewWe're looking for a Social Media Manager to build Ruby &amp; Millie&rsquo;s social presence and creator engine from the ground up across TikTok and Instagram. This is a hands-on, multi-hat role: you&rsquo;ll create the content, run the day-to-day channels and build creator/influencer partnerships. The right candidate will have a strong point of view on what good looks like and knows how to create content that earns attention, builds brand love, and makes the community feel excited to share.You&rsquo;ll report to the CMO and work in proximity to the retail/wholesale team. Our social accounts currently sits at ~21,000 followers, and this is an opportunity to help build something significant from an early stage.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Strategic Planning: Build campaign calendars and weekly plans that align with business goals.</li><li>Own Content Creation end-to-end: concepting, filming or briefing, editing and publishing.</li><li>Visual Direction for Social: Create content which is beautifully designed, platform native and aligns with our brand values.</li><li>Creator &amp; Partnerships Strategy: Own the UGC, affiliate, and influencer partnerships across TikTok and Instagram; source and brief creators, manage relationships and ensure high quality content is published on our feeds and creator accounts.</li><li>Organic Community Building: Foster connections and sense of belonging through community-first content and proactive interaction.</li><li>Storytelling x Entertainment: You love storytelling on social media &rarr; turning product features and benefits into entertaining content that customers feel excited about.</li></ul>Required Skills<ul><li>Experience: 2+ years of hands-on social media and/or creator partnerships experience, ideally at a beauty or DTC consumer brand.</li><li>Platform fluency: Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok&rsquo;s purpose, audience, algorithm, and analytics.</li><li>Editing + creative execution: Experience editing short-form content and carousels that looks beautiful, captures attention, and matches the brand voice.</li><li>Trend instincts: Can spot emerging trends early and move quickly.</li><li>Creator economy knowledge: Strong understanding of brand/creator relationship dynamics and the priorities for each side.</li><li>Growth track record (preferred): Experience building a social media account to 50K+ followers.</li></ul>This role is for you if&hellip;<ul><li>You&rsquo;re energized by the idea of making great beauty accessible.</li><li>You have a strong point of view on what good brand social looks like.</li><li>You&rsquo;re self-directed with an entrepreneurial spirit; you&rsquo;ll thrive in an environment where the playbook is still being written.</li><li>You love collaboration, experimentation, and building something from the ground up.</li><li>You&rsquo;re a proactive communicator who brings ideas, flags problems early, and doesn&rsquo;t wait to be asked.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Contract Details<ul><li>Compensation: $75,000/year pro-rata</li><li>Contract: 1099 / 6-month contract (with the possibility to extend)</li><li>Hours: 40 hours/week</li></ul>Location and Working Hours<ul><li>In-office: 2 days per week, 9am&ndash;5pm, NYC</li><li>Daily core hours: Monday&ndash;Friday, 10am&ndash;12pm (full team online)</li><li>Remaining hours: Flexible</li><li>Events: 1&ndash;2 brand events per month in NYC may be required</li></ul>How to Apply<ul><li>Submit your CV and the test task below (in place of a covering letter)</li><li>Successful candidates with have 2 rounds of interviews</li></ul>------Pay: $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>TEST TASK: Please complete in place of a covering letter (30 mins). </li></ul>Take a few minutes to review our socials (@rubyandmillienyc), and identify three creators you would approach to partner with Ruby &amp; Millie.
