We are now hiring for a full-time Benefit Specialist at our Headquarters office in downtown Chicago! 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul><li>Support day-to-day administration of the agency&rsquo;s benefits programs, ensuring timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries in partnership with the Benefits team.</li>
<li>Identify trends, issues, or gaps in benefits administration and communicate recommendations or changes to improve processes and enhance the overall benefits offering.</li>
<li>Administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, and Parental Leave, by coordinating requests and tracking through the Prudential system.</li>
<li>Partner with managers and leadership to provide updates on employee leave statuses, timelines, and return-to-work expectations, ensuring clear communication and adherence to policies.</li>
<li>Process and audit benefit enrollments and qualifying life events within the UKG system to ensure accuracy and compliance.</li>
<li>Coordinate and deliver new hire benefits orientations, ensuring employees understand available programs and enrollment processes.</li>
<li>Provide administrative support for Open Enrollment, including system setup, employee communications, and enrollment processing.</li>
<li>Administer COBRA enrollments and eligibility tracking through designated third-party system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Identify and resolve benefits carrier and file feed issues by coordinating with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators.</li>
<li>Review, reconcile, and process benefits invoices across multiple vendors, identifying discrepancies and ensuring timely resolution and payment.</li>
</ul>
SALARY: The salary range for this position will be $50,000 - $60,000 annually. Pay will be given based on skill and experience level.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, CREDENTIALS and/or EXPERIENCE:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human resources, business or related field required.</li>
<li>2+ year&rsquo;s benefit administration experience.</li></ul>

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager to join our BH team at Merrionette Park.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive services tailored to a diverse client population, helping enhance their potential and promote optimal functioning within the community. Working in collaboration with a supervisor, you will address emergency and crisis situations within the target population. This position operates across various settings, including office environments, client homes, and community-based locations, ensuring culturally competent service delivery for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

The Case Manager&rsquo;s key responsibilities include promoting the importance of care coordination to improve clients&rsquo; physical, emotional, and behavioral health outcomes. Under general supervision, the Case Manager will utilize intermediate-level expertise to conduct in-depth client assessments, manage more complex cases, and develop customized service plans. Working closely with clients, you will create actionable plans with clear goals and resources, continuously reviewing and updating these plans to meet evolving needs and deliver impactful support.

SALARY: The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $42,000 to $47,000 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
<ul>
<li>Conducts thorough assessment of clients. Evaluates problem and service needs.</li>
<li>Develops a written client service plan specifying goals to be achieved and services to be pursued.</li>
<li>Supplements service plans to meet client needs.</li>
<li>Provides, as appropriate, supportive help, advocacy and case management to individuals and families in coping with environment and interpersonal relationship 
issues.</li>
<li>Works collaboratively with community resources. Develops a knowledge of resources and helps clients to utilize them.</li>
<li>Works within contract, grant, and program requirements including meeting timelines and reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Engages client in settings that may present a challenge for the client for the purpose of learning/practicing/developing healthy behaviors and coping skills.</li>
<li>Reassesses and monitors client situation and adequacy of service plan.</li>
<li>Collaborates and participates with other program staff in the planning and implementation of service plans.</li>
<li>Subsequent to consultation with supervisor, handles emergency and crisis situations within target population.</li>
<li>With supervisory approval, authorizes limited amounts of financial assistance to own clients.</li>
<li>May work with community groups.</li>
<li>Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited college or university.</li>
<li>One year of case management experience in a social service or healthcare setting.</li>
<li>Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification preferred.</li>
<li>Bilingual in Spanish preferred.</li>
<li>Crisis stabilization experience preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to work evening as needed.</li>
</ul>
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Satisfactorily pass all relevant screening and criminal background checks.</li>
</ul>
TRAVEL/TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Driving for work required with transportation of clients preferred in a personally owned vehicle.</li>
</ul>
