We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented QuickBooks Bookkeeper to support our company on a part-time, 1099 independent contractor basis, approximately 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday (fixed work schedule). Open to Remote and/or Hybrid/OfficeThis role will manage all day-to-day bookkeeping activities in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, handle payroll processing and Florida-specific tax compliance, and coordinate closely with our Office Manager and CPA. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and communicates clearly.Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping &amp; QuickBooks Management<ul><li>Manage all bookkeeping functions in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online</li><li>Record, categorize, and reconcile all transactions accurately</li><li>Perform monthly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations</li><li>Maintain accurate general ledger and chart of accounts</li><li>Ensure books are clean, current, and CPA-ready</li><li>Prepare monthly financial reports (P&amp;L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)</li></ul>Payroll &amp; Florida Tax Support<ul><li>Process payroll accurately and on schedule</li><li>Handle Florida payroll-related compliance, including:</li><li>Federal payroll taxes (Forms 941, 940)</li><li>Florida Reemployment Tax</li><li>Sales tax tracking and reporting (if applicable)</li><li>Estimated tax tracking (as applicable)</li><li>Prepare and file W-2s, 1099s, and other required payroll forms</li><li>Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filings and payments</li></ul>Communication &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Communicate effectively with the Office Manager regarding documentation, schedules, and financial activity</li><li>Coordinate directly with our CPA for year-end close and tax preparation</li><li>Assist with bookkeeping-related IRS or state notices and provide documentation as needed</li><li>Maintain organized, well-documented financial records</li></ul>Organization &amp; Accuracy<ul><li>Maintain strong organizational systems and internal controls</li><li>Track multiple accounts and entities accurately</li><li>Identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively</li><li>Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience</li><li>Must have experience with QuickBooks Desktop AND QuickBooks Online</li><li>Strong knowledge of Florida tax requirements, including payroll, reemployment, and sales tax</li><li>Proven experience with full-cycle bookkeeping</li><li>Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Comfortable collaborating with office management and CPA</li></ul>Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourWork Location: Hybrid remote in Palmetto Bay, FL 33157
