<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">How you'll make an impact:</h3>
As a Scheduler, you&rsquo;ll be based in the office at our Hutchinson, MN facility and report to the Operations Director. In this role, you&rsquo;ll play a key part in planning and maintaining orderly production schedules to meet customer demands, maximize production efficiencies, and maximize throughput, ultimately helping us deliver exceptional packaging solutions that make a difference for our customers. Our Scheduler is the &ldquo;hub&rdquo; that keeps all team members aligned.
What you&rsquo;ll do:
<ul><li>Responsible for promptly confirming and communicating On-Time Manufacturing (OTM) dates to Coordinators. Also responsible for communicating when OTM dates have changed.</li><li>
Apply analytical thinking to balance capacity, customer demand, and production constraints.</li><li>
Ensures that production schedules are sequenced to meet customer commitments, maximize production efficiencies, and maximize throughput.
</li><li>Distributes the production schedules for the next 24 hours to each machine, the Supervisors, and Leads.</li><li>
Escalates to management when production lead times extend for key customer accounts and key value streams. Makes recommendations to reduce these lead times.</li><li>
Provides plans for production shortfalls and gains, alters schedules accordingly, and communicates changes to appropriate personnel and departments to resolve issues that may cause delays or disruptions.</li><li>
Works with production management to schedule overtime to satisfy customer requirements.</li><li>
Coordinates machine down time with department supervisors, maintenance and planning.</li><li>
Ensures commitments made to customers can be achieved and presents options when commitments are in jeopardy.</li><li>
Continuously monitors and reports on actual production make-ready and run speeds vs. estimated time in scheduling system where the goal is to have estimates and actuals align as closely as possible.</li><li>
Collaborate with production supervisors to make schedule adjustments based on changing conditions, while achieving OTM dates.</li><li>
Promptly responds to customer expedite requests and communicates to Coordinators any changes to OTM dates.
</li><li>Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of production processes, equipment, and capabilities.
</li><li>Leads daily production meetings.</li><li>
Initiates action to prevent quality problems, contributes to possible solutions, and verifies implementation of solutions. Controls further processing when a quality problem is identified.</li><li>
Evaluates and identifies opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer&rsquo;s experience and improve internal processes and systems.</li></ul>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">What it takes to succeed:</h3>
Basic Qualifications<ul><li>
Three plus years&rsquo; experience with scheduling in a complex manufacturing environment.
</li><li>Thorough knowledge of litho printing as well as die-cutting, laminating and gluing preferred.
</li><li>Embraces Continuous Improvement.</li><li>
Computer literate with experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.

How you'll make an impact:
As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you&rsquo;ll be a key driver of how we work smarter, safer, and more efficiently across Mill Rock Packaging. Based on site at either our Salt Lake City, Utah or Aurora, Colorado facility and reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you&rsquo;ll help lead and develop lean programs that empower teams to identify and implement meaningful improvements for our Mountain Region plants (Salt Lake City and Aurora).
Your work will directly improve productivity, safety, quality, and cost, helping us deliver exceptional packaging solutions that make a real difference for our customers and our people.
What you&rsquo;ll do:
In this role, you&rsquo;ll combine hands-on leadership with coaching and systems thinking to build a strong culture of continuous improvement.
<ul><li>Lead and facilitate lean improvement efforts using tools such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Gemba, Value Stream Mapping, OEE, KPIs, policy deployment and more
</li><li>Coach, train, and develop team members to lead improvement initiatives successfully
</li><li>Provide lean orientation and on-the-job training, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and expectations are clearly understood
</li><li>Identify ongoing improvement and training needs and help design and deploy effective learning programs
</li><li>Oversee lean projects from concept through implementation, delivering measurable results
</li><li>Partner with operations, safety, and operations teams to ensure safe, ergonomic, and sustainable improvement methods
</li><li>Establish and track metrics to measure operational and financial impact against targets
</li><li>Develop and maintain annual value stream maps, improvement plans, and calendars
</li><li>Support external customers by contributing to value-added, production-focused improvement initiatives
</li></ul>What it takes to succeed:
Basic Qualifications
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering or a related field
</li><li>5+ years of experience driving lean manufacturing and process improvements in a production environment
</li><li>Strong working knowledge of modern manufacturing systems and lean methodologies
</li><li>Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence at all levels in a manufacturing environment to drive change and results
</li></ul>Preferred Requirements
We value diverse backgrounds and experiences&mdash;they help us innovate and improve. These qualifications are nice to have, not required:
<ul><li>2+ years of manufacturing or operations leadership/supervisory experience
</li><li>Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ASQ preferred)
</li><li>Experience in folding carton or corrugated packaging, including finishing and printing processes
</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering
</li><li>Additional Lean Six Sigma certifications or related continuous improvement training
