This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a lively, culturally rich environment.Duties<ul><li>Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and explain daily specials with enthusiasm.</li><li>Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast.</li><li>Serve food and beverages efficiently, including handling wine service, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks with professionalism.</li><li>Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through effective suggestive selling techniques.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.</li><li>Process cash transactions accurately while managing credit card payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software.</li><li>Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, assist with food handling and preparation when needed, and support overall restaurant operations.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience in food service, fine dining, or hospitality environments with a focus on Japanese cuisine preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS; familiarity with Resy is a plus.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle diverse needs efficiently.</li><li>Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours without compromising quality.</li><li>Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.</li><li>Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service to assist guests in making informed choices.</li><li>Experience in food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures essential for maintaining high-quality service standards.</li></ul>Embark on a rewarding journey in the hospitality industry by bringing your passion for Japanese cuisine and outstanding guest service to our team!Pay: $18.57 - $25.00 per hourWork Location: In person
