This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, from tractor-trailers to farm equipment, in a fast-paced environment that rewards your technical prowess.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, alignment checks, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal vehicle performance.</li><li>Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.</li><li>Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.</li><li>Repair and service heavy equipment such as trucks, trailers, and farm machinery to minimize downtime.</li><li>Inspect vehicles for safety compliance, including air brake systems and shocks &amp; struts; perform necessary adjustments or replacements.</li><li>Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair status clearly with team members and customers.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven mechanic experience with diesel engines and automotive repair; dealership experience is highly preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including semi trucks, grain hopper trailers, forklifts, and farm machinery.</li><li>Skilled in using schematics for diagnostics and repairs; familiarity with electrical systems and soldering is a plus.</li><li>Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, assembly, and equipment repair using power tools and hand tools.</li><li>Ability to lift heavy components safely; comfortable performing heavy lifting tasks regularly.</li><li>Knowledge of HVAC systems in vehicles or equipment is advantageous but not required.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members.
