Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, alignment checks, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Repair and service heavy equipment such as trucks, trailers, and farm machinery to minimize downtime.
- Inspect vehicles for safety compliance, including air brake systems and shocks & struts; perform necessary adjustments or replacements.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair status clearly with team members and customers.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with diesel engines and automotive repair; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including semi trucks, grain hopper trailers, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Skilled in using schematics for diagnostics and repairs; familiarity with electrical systems and soldering is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, assembly, and equipment repair using power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to lift heavy components safely; comfortable performing heavy lifting tasks regularly.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems in vehicles or equipment is advantageous but not required.

Dry van trailers
Must have experience with diagnostic software such as DL8, J Pro, etc.
Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
