Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, alignment checks, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
• Repair and service heavy equipment such as trucks, trailers, and farm machinery to minimize downtime.
• Inspect vehicles for safety compliance, including air brake systems and shocks & struts; perform necessary adjustments or replacements.
• Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair status clearly with team members and customers.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanic experience with diesel engines and automotive repair; dealership experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including semi trucks, grain hopper trailers, forklifts, and farm machinery.
• Skilled in using schematics for diagnostics and repairs; familiarity with electrical systems and soldering is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, assembly, and equipment repair using power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to lift heavy components safely; comfortable performing heavy lifting tasks regularly.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems in vehicles or equipment is advantageous but not required.

Wilson and Timpte grain hopper trailers

Dry van trailers

Must have experience with diagnostic software such as DL8, J Pro, etc.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
