Role OverviewThe Logistics &amp; Operations Head / Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics operations including domestic distribution and international export&ndash;import processes. The role involves managing documentation, compliance, freight coordination, warehouse operations, vendor management, and ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods.Key Responsibilities:-1. Export &amp; Import Documentation<ul><li>Prepare and verify import/export documentation including:</li><li>Commercial Invoice</li><li>Packing List</li><li>Bill of Lading / Airway Bill</li><li>Shipping Bill</li><li>Certificate of Origin</li><li>LC documentation</li><li>Customs declarations</li><li>Coordinate with CHA (Customs House Agents), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and airlines.</li><li>Ensure compliance with customs regulations and DGFT norms.</li><li>Manage duty drawback, EPCG, advance license, and other export incentives.</li><li>Track shipment status and resolve documentation discrepancies.</li></ul>2. Domestic Logistics Management<ul><li>Oversee transportation planning for domestic shipments.</li><li>Coordinate with transporters for timely dispatch and delivery.</li><li>Manage warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and stock audits.</li><li>Optimize freight costs and transit times.</li><li>Handle reverse logistics and claims management.</li></ul>3. International Logistics Operations<ul><li>Manage international freight (Air &amp; Sea).</li><li>Negotiate freight contracts with shipping lines and freight forwarders.</li><li>Monitor Incoterms compliance (FOB, CIF, EXW, DDP, etc.).</li><li>Handle import clearance and ensure proper duty payments.</li><li>Maintain strong relationships with global logistics partners.</li></ul>4. Operations &amp; Team Management<ul><li>Lead and supervise logistics and documentation team.</li><li>Develop SOPs for logistics and documentation processes.</li><li>Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce cost.</li><li>Monitor KPIs: On-time delivery, freight cost, clearance time, documentation accuracy.</li><li>Coordinate with sales, finance, procurement, and production teams.</li></ul>5. Compliance &amp; Risk Management<ul><li>Ensure compliance with customs, GST, and international trade regulations.</li><li>Maintain proper record-keeping for audits.</li><li>Handle insurance claims for damaged/lost goods.</li><li>Mitigate supply chain risks and delays.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or Business Administration.</li><li>3&ndash;8 years of experience in logistics &amp; operations (including export-import documentation).</li><li>Strong knowledge of customs procedures and international shipping regulations.</li><li>Experience handling domestic and international shipments.</li></ul>Required Skills<ul><li>Strong knowledge of EXIM documentation</li><li>Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills</li><li>Knowledge of Incoterms &amp; international trade compliance</li><li>ERP/SAP/Tally proficiency</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Leadership and team management abilities</li><li>Excellent communication and coordination skills</li></ul>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<ul><li>On-time shipment percentage</li><li>Freight cost reduction</li><li>Clearance time reduction</li><li>Documentation accuracy rate</li><li>Inventory accuracy</li><li>Vendor performance score</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li></ul>Work Location: In person
