Position Overview</b></div><div>
The Manager &ndash; HR Generalist (Compliance Focus) will play a pivotal role in ensuring organizational compliance with statutory, legal, and internal HR policies while managing core HR operations. This role combines a strong understanding of employment law and compliance governance with hands-on generalist responsibilities in employee life cycle management, HR process excellence, and stakeholder partnership.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Key Responsibilities</b></div><div><b>
1. Statutory &amp; Legal Compliance</b></div><ul><li>
Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws and employment regulations (Shops &amp; Establishment Act, Payment of Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, PF, ESI, POSH, etc.).</li><li>
Monitor, maintain, and update compliance trackers, registers, and documentation as per statutory timelines.</li><li>
Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and government authorities for compliance submissions and inspections.</li><li>
Ensure timely filing of returns and renewals of licenses, registrations, and other statutory mandates.</li><li>
Partner with Legal and Finance teams to ensure compliance with vendor contracts, employee benefits, and audit requirements.</li><li>
Conduct periodic internal compliance audits to ensure zero non-conformities.</li></ul><div><b>
2. Policy Governance &amp; Audit Preparedness</b></div><ul><li>
Maintain and update HR policies to reflect current legal requirements and organizational standards.</li><li>
Support internal and external HR audits, coordinate documentation and responses.</li><li>
Drive employee awareness on compliance policies, including POSH, Code of Conduct, and workplace ethics.</li><li>
Participate in ISO / ISMS / CSR / ESG-related compliance reviews as applicable.</li></ul><div><b>
3. HR Operations &amp; Employee Lifecycle Management</b></div><ul><li>
Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, and exit formalities.</li><li>
Manage HR systems and records ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and audit-readiness.</li><li>
Support payroll inputs and statutory deduction validation in coordination with Finance/Payroll vendors.</li><li>
Facilitate full &amp; final settlements in line with compliance norms.</li></ul><div><b>
4. Employee Relations &amp; Communication</b></div><ul><li>
Provide guidance to employees and managers on company policies and labor regulations.</li><li>
Support resolution of employee queries and grievances related to policy interpretation or statutory benefits.</li><li>
Drive communication and awareness programs on HR policies and compliance obligations.</li></ul><div><b>
5. HR Reporting &amp; Continuous Improvement</b></div><ul><li>
Generate periodic compliance and HR operations reports for management review.</li><li>
Identify process improvement opportunities to strengthen governance, efficiency, and risk mitigation.</li><li>
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on changing employment laws and propose necessary policy or process updates.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Qualifications &amp; Experience</b></div><ul><li><b>
Education:</b> LLB and MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.</li><li><b>
Experience:</b> 15&ndash;18 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3&ndash;5 years handling compliance and generalist responsibilities.</li><li><b>
Preferred Background:</b> Experience in IT / ITES / Captive / Consulting environment; exposure to multi-location or group company compliance coordination.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Skills &amp; Competencies</b></div><ul><li>
Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance frameworks.</li><li>
Proficiency in HRIS / payroll systems and compliance tracking tools.</li><li>
Attention to detail with strong documentation and recordkeeping discipline.</li><li>
Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies effectively.</li><li>
