Job Summary Papa's Kitchen is a family owned and operated diner that has been open just a few weeks. We are already growing and looking to add another server to our team. Our restaurant offers a unique, welcoming atmosphere, including our in-house coffee shop, Moody Brews Coffee, creating a fun and energetic environment for both guests and staff.We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a team setting, and takes pride in creating a great guest experience. This is a great opportunity to get in early with a growing business.Applicants must be able to work Saturdays from 6:30-3:30, with additional weekday hours added as we grow. The position starts at $2.50 an hour plus tips, with current Saturday servers earning up to $16/hour with tips based on the current pace of business.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.</li><li>Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS, ensuring timely delivery.</li><li>Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.</li><li>Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.</li><li>Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit.</li><li>Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards.</li><li>Collaborate with kitchen staff and host/hostess team to coordinate service flow during busy hours, including nightclubs or fine dining nights.</li><li>Make tea, lemonade, and coffee prior to opening.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings.</li><li>Strong knowledge of POS systems</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.</li><li>Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities.</li><li>Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.</li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
