Our team is growing, and we need hardworking people who want to learn new skills and be part of something that makes a difference.What You&rsquo;ll Do As a Weatherization Specialist 1, you&rsquo;ll work with a crew to fix up homes so they use less energy. Most of the work involves basic construction, insulation, and installing energy-saving equipment.Job DutiesStart of the Day (Shop):<ul><li>Be at the shop by 7:30 a.m. (Mon&ndash;Fri, some Saturdays may be offered)</li><li>Wear clean work clothes</li><li>Check in with your Crew Lead for the day&rsquo;s plan</li><li>Load the truck with tools, equipment, and supplies</li></ul>On the Jobsite:<ul><li>Follow directions from the Crew Lead</li><li>Protect the customer&rsquo;s home (boot covers, drop cloths, plastic sheeting)</li><li>Stay alert to safety hazards (wires, gas lines, low ceilings, etc.)</li><li>Always wear the right safety gear (PPE)</li><li>Work with your crew to install energy-saving upgrades, such as:</li><li>Blown-in and dense-packed insulation (using a Krendl machine)</li><li>Weatherstripping and door sweeps</li><li>Drywall patching and finishing</li><li>Sealing air leaks with spray foam or foam board</li><li>Installing/venting kitchen and bathroom fans</li><li>Laying fiberglass insulation in basements, crawlspaces, and ceilings</li><li>Replacing hot water heaters (standard and hybrid)</li><li>Installing light fixtures, switches, and outlets</li><li>Running electrical wire and connecting thermostats</li><li>Installing baseboard heaters, dryer vents, and ductwork</li><li>Adding roof vents and sealing around doors/windows</li><li>Insulating pipes and boiler lines</li><li>Performing blower door tests and recording results</li><li>Keep the jobsite neat and clean</li><li>Take photos of work and complete paperwork as needed</li></ul>End of the Day (Shop):<ul><li>Unload trucks and return tools/supplies to their place</li><li>Clean vehicles, tools, and shop area</li><li>Dispose of trash and recycle materials properly</li><li>Get tools/supplies ready for the next day</li><li>Check out with your Crew Lead or Manager before leaving</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation to/from the shop</li><li>Cell phone with data plan</li><li>Shows up on time every day and ready to work</li><li>Willing to learn new skills and trades</li><li>Works well with others and treats customers with respect</li><li>Can handle year-round work, indoors and outdoors, in all weather</li><li>Able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, and work on roofs</li><li>Basic knowledge of hand and power tools (hammer, drill, saw, nail gun, etc.)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>On-the-job training</li><li>Opportunities for advancement</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Paid training</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Tools provided</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
