This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food and beverage industry while contributing to a lively, fast-paced caf&eacute; atmosphere.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit</li><li>Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and light food items with precision and care</li><li>Operate Square POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently</li><li>Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity and accuracy</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and preparation procedures</li><li>Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction</li><li>Assist with food preparation, serving, and restocking supplies as needed to support smooth caf&eacute; operations</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous barista experience in a fast-paced caf&eacute; or coffee shop environment is highly preferred or food/service industry</li><li>Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, Toast or Square enhances efficiency in transaction processing</li><li>Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests</li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and accurate order totaling</li><li>Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and proper food preparation techniques</li><li>Experience in retail or food industry roles that involve serving customers and managing multiple responsibilities</li><li>Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality service</li></ul>Hourly plus tipsFlexible hoursMust be a team player &amp; work well with others.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hourWork Location: In person
