Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and light food items with precision and care
• Operate Square POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity and accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and preparation procedures
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
• Assist with food preparation, serving, and restocking supplies as needed to support smooth café operations

Experience

• Previous barista experience in a fast-paced café or coffee shop environment is highly preferred or food/service industry
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, Toast or Square enhances efficiency in transaction processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and accurate order totaling
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and proper food preparation techniques
• Experience in retail or food industry roles that involve serving customers and managing multiple responsibilities
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality service
