  Mechanical Assembler II

 to support the mechanical assembly and disassembly of generators and other MQ power and construction products. In this hands‑on role, you&rsquo;ll perform mid‑level assembly work on generators, pumps, concrete mixers, and related equipment, using technical documentation to ensure precision, quality, and safety throughout the build and refurbishment process.

 What You&rsquo;ll Do

 Mechanical Assembly &amp; Refurbishment
 <br/>

   Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly of generators, including DCA units, studio refurbishments, and container refurbishments.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assemble, modify, fit, and align equipment and components using drilling, grinding, mounting, and fastening techniques.
  </li>
  <li>
   Support subassembly builds such as pumps, mixers, trailers, and related equipment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Clean, lubricate, and maintain parts, components, and subassemblies during the build process.
  </li>
  <li>
   Apply labels, nameplates, and identifying markings to completed units.

 Technical Interpretation &amp; Precision Work

   Read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, and technical specifications to determine proper methods and build sequences.

   Drill, tap, ream, and countersink holes using hand tools, power tools, and drill presses.
  </li>

   Perform minor electrical wiring and soldering as required.
  </li>
  <li>
   Gather, stage, and prepare parts, tools, materials, and subassemblies for assigned work.

 Quality, Inspection &amp; Troubleshooting

   Inspect assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.

   Identify issues, troubleshoot mechanical problems, and make necessary adjustments.

   Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and safety briefings as assigned.

   Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and small cranes.

   Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  </li>
  <li>
   Working knowledge of mechanical systems; minor electrical wiring and soldering experience preferred.
  </li>
  <li>
   Basic math skills for measurements, layouts, and calculations.

<li>Source new and existing components to achieve the best balance of quality, cost, and lead time for both current and future needs.</li>
<li>Identify alternative components and new supplier sources for long‑lead or constrained materials to support production, service, and aftermarket teams.</li>
<li>Determine procurement method (direct buy vs. bid), prepare purchase orders and bid requests, and negotiate pricing and terms within scope of authority and budget.</li>
<li>Review bid proposals and support supplier selection based on quality, cost, delivery, and performance.</li>
<li>Execute inter‑warehouse transfers as needed to support inventory and production requirements.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Engineering &amp; Manufacturing Support</b></h3>
<ul><li>Work with engineering drawings and specifications for bid submittals.</li>
<li>Release and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and associated components.</li>

<li>Support custom and job‑shop manufacturing environments.</li>

<ul><li>Qualify new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure consistent quality and supply continuity.</li>

<li>Address defective or non‑conforming materials in collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and vendors to determine root cause and corrective actions.</li>
