 Role Description
 
 
 MUSH is seeking a dynamic and open minded teammate to support our Research and Development (R&amp;D) Team at our manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City. The successful candidate has exceptional organization and prioritization skills.
 
 
 
 General Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Support ongoing and emerging innovation projects
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to cost-saving initiatives
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop methodologies for new analytical tools (e.g., moisture meter, oat-grading sieves)
 </li>
 <li>
 Support product improvement initiatives
 </li>
 <li>
 Build supplier relationships to evaluate new ingredients and technologies
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoot production and QA-related issues
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct sensory evaluations to support innovation, quality, and supplier approvals
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage formulations and ingredients in Genesis software to ensure accuracy, cost tracking, and efficiency
 </li>
 <li>
 Other duties as assigned

 Experience Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 B.S. Degree (Food Science or Engineering preferred)
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong proficiency in all MS Office/Google applications
 </li>
 <li>
 Problem solving, excellent verbal and oral communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet time sensitive tasks in a fast paced environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Previous experience in basic and applied research and development preferably in food or beverage companies preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong background in food science, ingredient interaction, and process development.
