Role Description

MUSH is seeking a dynamic and open minded teammate to support our Research and Development (R&D) Team at our manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City. The successful candidate has exceptional organization and prioritization skills.

General Responsibilities

• Support ongoing and emerging innovation projects
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives
• Develop methodologies for new analytical tools (e.g., moisture meter, oat-grading sieves)
• Support product improvement initiatives
• Build supplier relationships to evaluate new ingredients and technologies
• Troubleshoot production and QA-related issues
• Conduct sensory evaluations to support innovation, quality, and supplier approvals
• Manage formulations and ingredients in Genesis software to ensure accuracy, cost tracking, and efficiency
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Experience Requirements

• B.S. Degree (Food Science or Engineering preferred)
• Strong proficiency in all MS Office/Google applications
• Problem solving, excellent verbal and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet time sensitive tasks in a fast paced environment
• Previous experience in basic and applied research and development preferably in food or beverage companies preferred.
• Strong background in food science, ingredient interaction, and process development.
