Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Assistant to join our team at AAA Advantage Home Care. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding, and facilitating smooth communication between our agency and insurance companies. Your energetic approach will help streamline revenue cycle operations, improve collection rates, and support excellent patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your medical billing expertise in a dynamic environment committed to precision and efficiency.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare, review, and submit Medicaid, and Managed care insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Generate and process invoices, ensuring services are billed correctly and in accordance with payer requirements and company policies.</li><li>Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid, denied, rejected, or underpaid claims to maximize reimbursement and reduce aging balances.</li><li>Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, claim denials, eligibility issues, and payment variances.</li><li>Reconcile payments, adjustments, and remittances, ensuring accurate posting and account balances.</li><li>Maintain detailed and organized records of billing activities, collections efforts, payer communications, and payment status updates.</li><li>Work closely with operations, intake, and clinical teams to obtain required documentation and ensure billing compliance.</li><li>Verify authorizations, service documentation, and client eligibility prior to claim submission.</li><li>Communicate with insurance carriers, Medicaid agencies, clients, and caregivers regarding billing questions and payment issues.</li><li>Assist with month-end reporting, revenue tracking, and other revenue cycle management activities.</li><li>Stay current on payer regulations, billing requirements, and reimbursement guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience in medical billing or coding within a healthcare setting is preferred</li><li>Familiarity with medical office operations, including medical records management and insurance claim procedures</li><li>Experience working with EVV systems and other medical billing software is highly desirable</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially</li></ul>Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourWork Location: In person
