Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our construction company in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounting practices, particularly within the construction industry, and be proficient in QuickBooks. This role involves managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Financial Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.</li><li>QuickBooks Management: Utilize QuickBooks for daily accounting tasks, including invoicing, payroll management, and bank reconciliations.</li><li>Budgeting &amp; Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and cost estimates for construction projects.</li><li>Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.</li><li>Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including the timely filing of tax returns and other statutory requirements.</li><li>Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze project costs, providing insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency.</li><li>Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.</li><li>Audits: Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.</li><li>Financial Advice: Provide financial advice and insights to management to support decision-making and business planning.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>Experience: At least 3-4 Months of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.</li><li>Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential. Experience with other accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws in Pakistan.</li><li>Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.</li><li>Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.</li><li>Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, InternshipWork Location: On the road

Accountant (Intern)

MY Construction is offering 6-month internship opportunities for Civil Engineering / Construction Management students and fresh graduates who want to gain hands-on experience at active construction sites. Interns will be stationed directly on projects, supporting supervisors, documenting progress, and learning professional construction practices aligned with safety and quality standards.This role requires mobility, discipline, and strong communication, as interns will be responsible for daily documentation and weekly task completion.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain daily site logs and prepare weekly progress reports.</li><li>Capture and organize site photos for documentation.</li><li>Assist in safety checks, toolbox talks, and quality inspections.</li><li>Track material deliveries and maintain simple usage records.</li><li>Stay in daily contact with supervisors and project managers via WhatsApp.</li><li>Learn to interpret construction drawings, by-laws, and site procedures.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Final-year student or fresh graduate in Civil Engineering / Construction Management.</li><li>Own motorcycle with valid license (mandatory for site travel).</li><li>Active WhatsApp user for daily updates and coordination.</li><li>Basic skills in MS Office / Google Docs &amp; Sheets.</li><li>Knowledge of construction basics, safety standards, and DHA Lahore by-laws preferred.</li><li>Strong willingness to learn, document, and adapt quickly.</li><li>Good communication skills in Urdu &amp; English.</li></ul>Personal Attributes<ul><li>Punctual, disciplined, and detail-oriented.</li><li>Professional attitude with commitment to safety and quality.</li><li>Flexible and willing to work at outstation sites if assigned.</li><li>Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to learning and reporting.</li></ul>Internship Terms &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Duration: 6 months.</li><li>Stipend Structure:</li><li>Monthly stipend of PKR 20,000.</li><li>Weekly Assignments: Completion of weekly site tasks and assignments is mandatory.
