This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while working in a dynamic, supportive community.Responsibilities<ul><li>Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and academic success.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.</li><li>Supervise children during structured activities, free play, snack time, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education accommodations.</li><li>Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.</li><li>Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds and encourages teamwork among students.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable.</li><li>Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.</li><li>Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure child safety.</li><li>Background in early childhood education or childhood development enhances your ability to meet developmental milestones.</li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.</li><li>Ability to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment that encourages learning and growth.</li><li>Passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their overall development through engaging activities.</li><li>Embark on a fulfilling journey where your enthusiasm transforms after-school hours into moments of discovery and joy!</li><li>Love for Children and Teaching: Above all, an MSA teacher should genuinely love working with young children/school age children and have a passion for teaching. Show enthusiasm, warmth, and dedication to creating a positive learning environment for every child.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Previous experience working with young children.</li><li>Need to be capable of lifting at least 25 pounds.</li><li>Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the students and the classroom environment.</li><li>Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods and child development principles.</li><li>A genuine passion for working with children.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively interact with students, parents, and other team members.</li><li>CPR and First Aid Certified</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Work Location: In person
