Job Summary:*DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS JOB UNLESS YOU HAVE A VALID NEVADA BOARD OF PHARMACY TECH LICENSE - NO TECH IN TRAINING OR UNLICENSED APPLICANTS*The Non-Sterile Pharmacy Compounding Technician is responsible for preparing customized medications in accordance with prescribed formulas and quality standards under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves accurately measuring, mixing, and packaging compounds while maintaining compliance with USP &lt;795&gt; and &lt;800&gt;, state regulations, and pharmacy protocols.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare non-sterile compounded medications (e.g., creams, ointments, capsules, suspensions, troches) per formula sheets.</li><li>Follow compounding procedures and ensure compliance with USP &lt;795&gt; &lt;800&gt; and pharmacy SOPs.</li><li>Accurately weigh and measure ingredients using balances, cylinders, and other compounding equipment.</li><li>Maintain proper labeling, documentation, and batch records for all compounds.</li><li>Perform and document cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of equipment and lab areas.</li><li>Follow strict hygiene and safety protocols to avoid cross-contamination.</li><li>Manage inventory of bulk chemicals, excipients, and compounding supplies.</li><li>Support pharmacists with quality assurance and final product checks.</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date compounding logs and temperature logs.</li><li>Package and label finished medications for dispensing.</li><li>Participate in staff training and continuous improvement efforts.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Current Pharmacy Technician license</li><li>Experience with compounding preferred but not required - training available</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.</li><li>Basic computer and data entry skills.</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.</li></ul>Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and skills.
