Overview:The Proofreader is responsible for reviewing legal and service-related documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission, this must be done on an expedited basis.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Proofread legal documents, affidavits, court filings, and service-related paperwork for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors</li><li>Verify names, addresses, dates, case numbers, and other critical details for accuracy</li><li>Ensure documents comply with court and client-specific guidelines</li><li>Cross-check information between multiple documents and internal systems</li><li>Communicate discrepancies or errors to the appropriate department for correction</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal information</li><li>Meet daily productivity and quality standards</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)</li><li>Legal industry experience is a plus but not required</li><li>Previous proofreading or quality control experience preferred</li></ul>Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
