As a CNA, you will work closely with nursing staff to deliver essential daily care, promote patient comfort, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Your energy and dedication will help foster a safe, respectful, and healing environment for all those under your care.Duties<ul><li>Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. </li><li>Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to ensure up-to-date patient documentation. </li><li>Support medication administration under supervision, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy. </li><li>Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support. </li><li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service. </li><li>Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and basic life support during emergencies or routine assessments. </li><li>Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper aseptic techniques and adhering to hospital protocols for infectious disease care. </li><li>Support patients in rehabilitation or long-term care environments by engaging in physiologically appropriate activities that promote recovery and well-being.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensing. </li><li>Demonstrated experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home &amp; community care environments. </li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring techniques. </li><li>Experience caring for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience in dementia or memory care is highly valued. </li><li>Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting (Hoyer lifts), repositioning patients, and assisting with mobility while maintaining safety standards. </li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient service. </li><li>Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times.
