Certified Nursing Assistant

Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. As a CNA, you will work closely with nursing staff to deliver essential daily care, promote patient comfort, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Duties

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to ensure up-to-date patient documentation.
  • Support medication administration under supervision, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy.
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service.
  • Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and basic life support during emergencies or routine assessments.
  • Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper aseptic techniques and adhering to hospital protocols for infectious disease care.
  • Support patients in rehabilitation or long-term care environments by engaging in physiologically appropriate activities that promote recovery and well-being.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensing.
  • Demonstrated experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring techniques.
  • Experience caring for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience in dementia or memory care is highly valued.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting (Hoyer lifts), repositioning patients, and assisting with mobility while maintaining safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient service.
