Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant caf&eacute; team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality coffee and food items, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, retail math, and POS systems within a dynamic caf&eacute; setting.Duties<ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using standard recipes and equipment.</li><li>Handle food preparation tasks, including basic food handling, safety, and cleanliness standards.</li><li>Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the caf&eacute; area, including cleaning equipment, counters, and dining spaces.</li><li>Manage cash register operations accurately, including cashiering and retail math calculations.</li><li>Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.</li><li>Follow food safety protocols and adhere to health regulations at all times.</li><li>Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred; experience with coffee preparation is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with POS systems such as Square &amp; Toast POS.</li><li>Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude.</li><li>Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales transactions, and retail math calculations.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Basic understanding of the food industry and retail math concepts.
