For decades, Nelson Jones has proudly served Utah&rsquo;s legal needs, and with our new St. George office, we are expanding our reach and adding experienced team members to support this growth.Practice Areas of Focus<ul><li>Family Law (primary)</li><li>Criminal Law support as needed</li><li>Personal Injury experience a plus</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist in the intake process of new family law clients.</li><li>Manage cases from intake through resolution, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.</li><li>Engage in significant client interaction, including regular updates and case management communication.</li><li>Maintain and organize client files, both electronic and physical.</li><li>Draft legal documents including letters, pleadings, discovery, memorandums, and motions.</li><li>File and e-file legal documents with the courts.</li><li>Answer inbound calls that are transferred from the firm&rsquo;s West Jordan headquarters and assist callers in a professional manner.</li><li>Greet clients and visitors to the St. George office and provide a welcoming environment.</li><li>Provide general administrative support to attorneys as needed.</li></ul>Experience &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum of 1-2 years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.</li><li>Professional and courteous demeanor, with strong client service skills.</li></ul>Job Type<ul><li>Full-time</li><li>Expected hours: 40 per week, with 120 billable hours required per month</li></ul>Schedule<ul><li>Monday &ndash; Friday, 9:00 AM &ndash; 5:00 PM (in-office, St. George, UT)</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Pay: $25/hr. starting pay, depending on experience.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>401(k) (after 1 year)</li><li>401(k) matching (after 1 year)</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>10 paid vacation days per year (earned at a rate of .833 days per month)</li><li>10 paid sick days per year (earned at a rate of .833 days per month)</li></ul>Work Location<ul><li>St. George, Utah (In-office)</li><li>Must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
