Following the strategic acquisition of Miller Mandel (MMI), NEOGOV is combining the best of our Vetted and MMI background investigation platforms into a single, world-class product. We're looking for a <b>Senior Associate Product Manager, Background Investigations</b> to be the cornerstone of that transformation. This is a rare &quot;five-tool player&quot; role &mdash; part product strategist, part integration architect, part customer champion &mdash; where you will define what the destination platform looks like, lead customers across both legacy systems to get there, and keep current commitments humming while you do it.<div><br>

<p></p><div><div><b>Build the Unified Platform</b></div><ul><li><div>
Own the product vision and roadmap for the combined Vetted + MMI background investigations platform, synthesizing the strengths of both systems into a cohesive, best-in-class product.</div></li><li><div>
Drive discovery, prioritization, and delivery of features that close gaps between the two platforms and unlock new value for customers across the public sector.</div></li><li><div>
Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data to ship iteratively and validate product bets with real users before scaling.</div></li></ul><div><b><br>
Spearhead Customer Migration</b></div><ul><li><div>
Define and execute the migration strategy that moves customers from both legacy platforms onto the destination product &mdash; with minimal disruption and maximum confidence.</div></li><li><div>
Serve as the internal expert on platform differences; build tools, documentation, and playbooks that make migration smooth for customers and customer-facing teams alike.</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with Customer Success, Implementation, and Sales to sequence migrations intelligently and manage customer expectations throughout the journey.</div></li></ul><div><b><br>
Deliver on Existing Commitments</b></div><ul><li><div>
Maintain forward momentum on final implementations for deals sold onto the legacy eSoph platform, ensuring customers experience a seamless onboarding even as the underlying product evolves.</div></li><li><div>
Triage, prioritize, and clear blockers for in-flight implementations in close coordination with implementation and support teams.</div></li></ul><div><b><br>
Be the Connective Tissue</b></div><ul><li><div>
Translate complex, cross-platform dynamics into clear product decisions and crisp communication for stakeholders at all levels.</div></li><li><div>
Represent the voice of the customer in every roadmap decision &mdash; grounding strategy in real feedback from agencies, investigators, and HR administrators.</div></li><li><div>
Partner with go-to-market teams to develop launch plans, enablement materials, and competitive positioning for the unified platform.</div></li></ul></div><p></p>

What You Have</b></p><ul><li><div>
3&ndash;6+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS; experience in HR tech, background screening, compliance, or public sector a strong plus.</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrated success owning a product through a significant transition &mdash; platform consolidation, M&amp;A integration, major migration, or 0?1 launch.</div></li><li><div>
Strong discovery and prioritization instincts: you know how to run customer interviews, synthesize qualitative and quantitative signals, and make defensible trade-off calls.</div></li><li><div>
Experience working directly with customers on onboarding, migrations, or implementations &mdash; you're comfortable being the face of the product in high-stakes conversations.</div></li><li><div>
Comfort with ambiguity and a track record of creating clarity and momentum where neither existed before.</div></li><li><div>
Fluency with agile environments and standard product tooling (Jira, Confluence, Figma, Slack, etc.).</div></li></ul></div><p></p><div><div><b><br>
 Preferred Qualifications</b></div>
Familiarity with background investigation workflows, credentialing, or similar compliance-heavy domains.<ul><li><div>
Experience with platform M&amp;A or post-acquisition product integration.</div></li><li><div>
Exposure to customer migration programs at scale &mdash; moving hundreds of customers from one system to another.</div></li><li><div>

The Account Development team is responsible for the support, training, and best practice coaching and account retention and expansion for all customers. You will strategize customer support execution, communicate with other departments to ensure synergy. You will proactively look for new and innovative ways to ensure our customers&rsquo; success with our products and generate sales opportunities. Your primary responsibility is account expansion. You will work directly with an Account Manager and coordinate meetings to demo NEOGOV products.<br>

Track KPI&rsquo;s (partnership review meetings, demos, SQO%, and sales territory quota attainment)</li><li>

Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with departments across the organization, including Sales, Support, QA, Product Management, Finance, etc</li><li>
Experience presenting both to groups and one-on-one</li><li>
