This paid internship is designed to cultivate your leadership skills and prepare you for a full management role, empowering you to drive sales growth and deliver exceptional shopping experiences.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist in managing daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service</li><li>Support inventory management through stock replenishment, stocktaking, and inventory control procedures</li><li>Participate in recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members</li><li>Help supervise staff schedules, shift management, and payroll processing to ensure optimal coverage</li><li>Contribute to merchandising strategies by organizing displays and pricing products effectively</li><li>Engage with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and enhance overall satisfaction</li><li>Collaborate with management on sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities</li><li>Develop skills in POS (Point of Sale) systems, cashiering, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions</li><li>Assist in training new employees on store policies, customer service standards, and operational procedures</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with customers and team members</li><li>Demonstrated leadership potential with supervising or assistant manager experience preferred</li><li>Excellent organizational skills for managing inventory, scheduling, and administrative tasks</li><li>Proficiency in retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques</li><li>Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases</li><li>Knowledge of POS systems, purchasing processes, and cashiering operations</li><li>Experience in employee orientation, training &amp; development programs preferred</li><li>Ability to handle cash accurately and perform bookkeeping duties efficiently</li><li>Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations</li><li>Customer service expertise with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences</li><li>Familiarity with retail management software and wireless sales environments beneficial</li><li>Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting</li><li>Organizational skills necessary for stock stocking, merchandising, and inventory control</li></ul>Join us as a Retail Manager Trainee to kickstart your career in retail leadership!
