Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Retail Manager Trainee to join our team and develop into a future leader within our retail environment. Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service
• Support inventory management through stock replenishment, stocktaking, and inventory control procedures
• Participate in recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members
• Help supervise staff schedules, shift management, and payroll processing to ensure optimal coverage
• Contribute to merchandising strategies by organizing displays and pricing products effectively
• Engage with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and enhance overall satisfaction
• Collaborate with management on sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities
• Develop skills in POS (Point of Sale) systems, cashiering, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions
• Assist in training new employees on store policies, customer service standards, and operational procedures

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with customers and team members
• Demonstrated leadership potential with supervising or assistant manager experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills for managing inventory, scheduling, and administrative tasks
• Proficiency in retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
• Knowledge of POS systems, purchasing processes, and cashiering operations
• Experience in employee orientation, training & development programs preferred
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform bookkeeping duties efficiently
• Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations
• Customer service expertise with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
• Familiarity with retail management software and wireless sales environments beneficial
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Organizational skills necessary for stock stocking, merchandising, and inventory control
