POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant for a remote role to supporting daily operations of our company. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position requires accuracy, discretion, and strong communication skills. Prior administrative or medical office experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Managing Faxes: Send outgoing faxes, review incoming faxes, and take appropriate action as needed to ensure timely follow-up and proper documentation.</li><li>Data Entry: Accurately upload and maintain documents, including prescriptions (RXs), Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), patient intake forms, insurance correspondence, and authorization documents, etc.</li><li>Insurance Eligibility Verification: Navigate the EMR system and insurance portals to verify coverage and confirm insurance eligibility information.</li><li>File Management: Download, scan, organize, and upload documents while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail within the EMR system and insurance portals.</li><li>Payments &amp; Invoices: Process payments, create invoices, and assist with balancing accounts and claims to ensure accurate financial records.</li><li>Phone Calls: Make professional phone calls to clients and/or physician offices as needed to support administrative and operational needs.</li><li>Light Cleaning / Errands (Optional for additional hours): Perform light office upkeep or occasional errands, such as inventory restock, if agreed upon as part of additional responsibilities or extended hours.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>High School Diploma required.</li><li>Additional college coursework or relevant training preferred.</li><li>Experience with Google Workspace, or similar office software</li><li>Familiarity with HIPAA regulations or prior HIPAA training preferred</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with others and communicate professionally</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to think critically and take initiative to complete tasks independently</li></ul>ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Must be able to pass a background check upon hire</li><li>Reliable internet connection and access to a quiet workspace</li><li>Cell phone</li><li>Laptop</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hourExpected hours: 10 &ndash; 20 per weekWork Location: Hybrid remote in West Columbia, SC 29169
