JOB GOAL:The teacher is responsible for the content adaptation, modification, instruction, supervision and evaluation of all students within his/her teaching assignments according to their IEP and will work within board policies and state laws to develop each child to his/her fullest potential so that he/she will be an informed, competent and responsible citizen capable of assuming a productive place in society.QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Must hold acceptable NJ Certification for the assignment</li><li>Demonstrated ability to implement an IEP effectively and demonstrated knowledge of assigned content area and content-related pedagogy.</li><li>The ability to create and maintain a climate of respect and fairness for all students.</li><li>Must possess strong communication, managerial and leadership skills.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of effective principles of teaching and learning and NJCCCS.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a diverse school community.</li><li>Ability to effectively motivate and assess students academically and socially.</li><li>Ability to work as part of a highly functioning team.</li><li>Required criminal background check and proof of US citizenship or legal alien status.</li><li>Ability to work on site during the hours required.</li><li>Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.</li></ul>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>To develop, adapt, modify and implement an instructional program within his/her classroom in a manner consistent with a student&rsquo;s Individual Educational Plan.</li><li>To demonstrate a high degree of knowledge of content-related pedagogy relating to the assignment.</li><li>Plan and carry out classroom activities focusing attention on developing individual academic achievement, key concepts and desirable attitudes and values which help the student develop important skills, increase personal competence and will stimulate him/her to be an ethical and sensitive human being.</li><li>Organize and maintain a pleasant and stimulating classroom environment for learning which provides for individual differences.</li><li>Demonstrate an ability to implement instruction and maintain an environment that recognizes and values diverse populations.</li><li>Demonstrate an ability to effectively contribute to and manage an individual program plan for students with special needs.</li><li>Demonstrate an ability to adapt curriculum to meet the varying rates, patterns and needs of all students, including students who extend learning beyond designated outcomes.</li><li>Effectively utilize available technologies and to provide pre-vocational and vocational guidance when appropriate.</li><li>Confer with parents and students in a cooperative effort to understand the student and to encourage his/her progress.</li><li>Take adequate measures to insure the health, safety and welfare of students.</li><li>Continually appraise student progress using subjective and objective criteria for evaluation.</li><li>Take part in curriculum planning to improve the educational program of the school and school system, devoting particular attention to the improvement of learning opportunities in his/her assignment.</li><li>Develop a working relationship with all members of the faculty and other personnel assigned to the school.</li><li>Be willing to participate in activities that increase one&rsquo;s professional competence.</li><li>Become acquainted with the resources of the community, keep informed of significant community affairs and maintain an awareness of the social, economic and cultural aspects of the community.</li><li>Keep informed about school policies and procedures and assist in their development or, revision when the need arises.</li><li>Keep prescribed records for such things as student attendance, evaluations, indicators of progress, report cards, discipline records, and documents required by the Board or Department of Education up to date, legible and accurate and make wise and discriminate use of such records.</li><li>Be punctual and maintain regular attendance at school and at prescribe school meetings.</li><li>Join and support professional organizations to further their own development and that of the profession.</li><li>Report and interpret to the student and his/her parents on a regular basis the student&rsquo;s academic progress and achievement.</li><li>Participate in decision making and sharing leadership functions within the framework of this job description.</li><li>Assume other related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or with the context of the above responsibilities and/or illustrations of key duties.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $65,000.00 - Job DescriptionJOB GOAL:** Develops policy and directs and coordinates human resources activities such as employment, compensation, labor relations, training, and employee services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.QUALIFICATIONS:**<ul><li>Possesses Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent or Three to Ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Has minimum of One (1) year broad HR generalist experience; </li><li>Has solid knowledge of applicable federal and state labor laws.</li><li>Possesses advanced knowledge of personnel policies and practices.</li><li>Possesses expert project management and consultative skills in addition to excellent verbal and written communication and counseling skills.</li><li>Demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities in a highly transactional, fast paced environment</li><li>Has excellent integrity and demonstrates good moral character and initiative.</li><li>Has proven ability to communicate and work with people in a teamwork environment.Job Requirements</li></ul>PERFORMANCE DUTIES**Work Performance/Work Traits **<ul><li>Coordinates HR policies and programs with emphasis on ensuring that the District is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.</li><li>In addition, the position works closely with the Assistant Superintendent Curriculum and Instruction in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.</li><li>Ensures all certified and non-certified positions within the district have necessary paperwork for position.</li><li>Directs or assigns the daily administration of other HR services, including but not limited to recruitment and selection, promotions, transfers, contract negotiation and administration, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, performance evaluation, leave administration and employee relations in accordance with quality management principles and overall objectives of the School District.</li><li>Develops, prepares, generates, and analyzes ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including but not limited to issues such as board agenda minutes, benefit costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, Affirmative Action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc. Effectively implements and utilizes a data processing system to obtain, store, and analyze pertinent data and information.</li><li>Maintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed Federal, State and Department of Education laws/regulations affecting human resources management. Identifies trends that could impact the District objectives and/or operational resources. Interprets appropriate laws and policies and advises administration, employees, and retirees accordingly.</li><li>Participates in the investigation and resolution of ongoing employee relations problems, anticipates problems whenever possible, and develops recommends, and initiates appropriate steps for resolution.</li><li>Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and participates in contract negotiations and grievance responses as needed.</li><li>Assists with the preparation and drafting of the District&rsquo;s annual budget development as well as all ancillary state, federal, and local financial reports.</li><li>Coordinates benefit program.</li><li>Monitors unemployment claims and assists departments with appeals.</li><li>Monitors works&rsquo; compensation claims and coordinates work between employee and insurance carrier.</li><li>Maintains complete attendance records.</li><li>Supervises, trains and evaluates assigned staff.</li><li>Supports and assists the Assistant Superintendent Curriculum and Instruction in all of the duties, as needed.</li><li>Participates in internal and external organizations, boards and committees as requested and authorized by appropriate management directives and specific authorities.</li><li>School and Community Relations*</li><li>Cooperates and shares professionally with other members of the staff.</li><li>Keeps the Assistant Superintendent Curriculum and Instruction or designee informed about the ongoing activities of the Human Resources Department.</li><li>Professional Improvement*</li><li>Participates in staff development opportunities to enhance job-related skills and knowledge.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $24.95 - $30.04 per hourEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Human resources: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
