Our team values professionalism, collaboration, and a client-centered approach.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to oversee daily administrative operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the practice while supporting both clinicians and clients.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and coordinate client scheduling, including intake appointments and ongoing sessions</li><li>Answer phones, respond to emails, and handle general client inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner</li><li>Verify insurance benefits and eligibility</li><li>Perform medical billing tasks, including claim submission, payment posting, and follow-up on denied claims</li><li>Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Process client payments and manage accounts receivable</li><li>Coordinate clinician schedules and maintain calendars</li><li>Assist with onboarding new clients, including intake paperwork and documentation</li><li>Manage office supplies, office cleanliness and administrative needs</li><li>Support the implementation and use of electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., SimplePractice)</li><li>Assist with general office operations and workflow improvements</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous experience in a medical or mental health office required</li><li>Strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance verification, and claims processes</li><li>Familiarity with EHR systems (SimplePractice preferred)</li><li>Excellent organizational and multitasking skills</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience working in a mental health or behavioral health setting</li><li>Knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and insurance panels</li><li>Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing</li></ul>Benefits (if applicable)<ul><li>Flexible scheduling</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development opportunities</li><li>Supportive team environment</li></ul>How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the position.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our workplace.Pay: From $15.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
