Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in assisting attorneys with document preparation, case review, and administrative support to ensure smooth legal operations. This paid position provides a stimulating environment where your skills will directly impact client success and legal excellence.Duties<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support various practice areas such as estate planning, tribal law, patent law, and workers' compensation law.</li><li>Assist in drafting legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and clarity.</li><li>Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw; ensure all documents are organized, accurate, and easily accessible.</li><li>Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.</li><li>Support attorneys with client interviews by preparing questionnaires and summarizing interview notes to facilitate case development.</li><li>Perform data entry tasks related to case management systems while maintaining meticulous records of all case activities.</li><li>Proofread and transcribe legal documents to ensure error-free submissions; handle filing procedures both electronically and physically.</li><li>Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing phone etiquette, organizing files, and coordinating communication within the law office.</li><li>Conduct research on specific laws such as UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), landlord-tenant regulations, family law statutes, securities regulations, tribal laws &amp; regulations, patent law procedures, and immigration policies.</li><li>Assist in document review processes for litigation cases across various practice areas including personal injury law and workers' compensation claims.</li><li>Support project management initiatives by tracking deadlines and maintaining organized workflows for multiple cases simultaneously.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven paralegal experience in a fast-paced law office environment with exposure to diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, immigration law, or litigation.</li><li>Strong knowledge of legal administrative processes including document review, case management software (iManage), legal research platforms (Westlaw &amp; LexisNexis), and document drafting tools.</li><li>Familiarity with legal procedures related to UCC law, tribal regulations, patent processes or landlord-tenant issues is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in conducting interviews with clients or witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases.</li><li>Proficiency in writing clear reports or summaries that support attorneys&rsquo; case strategies; strong proofreading skills are essential.</li><li>Ability to handle clerical tasks such as data entry, filing systems (physical or electronic), transcription work, and maintaining meticulous records with professionalism.</li><li>Effective communication skills coupled with courteous phone etiquette to liaise confidently with clients and team members alike.</li><li>Knowledge of relevant software applications including PCLaw for billing purposes; familiarity with legal research tools like Westlaw is preferred.
