Position Overview: The Assistant Director of Security supports the Director of Security in maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment for residents, staff, and visitors within a nursing home or long-term care facility. This role ensures daily security operations run smoothly while upholding the dignity and well-being of residents as directed by the administrator. Serve as the main point of contact for residents and families to ensure a positive, supportive, and responsive care experience. Promote resident satisfaction, dignity, and quality of life through excellent customer service practices.
Security Supervisor Responsibilities:<ul><li>
As security supervisor, you will manage and oversee the security staff in your facility.</li><li>
You will investigate and take the appropriate lawful action, as directed by the company, any accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities and safety issues.</li><li>
You will oversee communication with law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, and fire departments in an effective manner.</li><li>
You will immediately respond to any situations of import, concerning safety.</li><li>
You will be available at all times in case of emergencies.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li>
2&ndash;5 years of security experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role</li><li>
Experience in healthcare, senior living, or similar environment preferred</li><li>
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations</li><li>
Knowledge of security systems and report writing</li></ul>

Requirements:

Security Guard Qualifications:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent certification.</li><li>
20-hour State of Illinois security course required.</li><li>
Registered as a security officer, preferred.</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Highly developed de-escalation skills preferred.</li></ul>
