Security Supervisor

Description:

Position Overview: The Assistant Director of Security supports the Director of Security in maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment for residents, staff, and visitors within a nursing home or long-term care facility. This role ensures daily security operations run smoothly while upholding the dignity and well-being of residents as directed by the administrator. Serve as the main point of contact for residents and families to ensure a positive, supportive, and responsive care experience. Promote resident satisfaction, dignity, and quality of life through excellent customer service practices.

Security Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • As security supervisor, you will manage and oversee the security staff in your facility.
  • You will investigate and take the appropriate lawful action, as directed by the company, any accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities and safety issues.
  • You will oversee communication with law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, and fire departments in an effective manner.
  • You will immediately respond to any situations of import, concerning safety.
  • You will be available at all times in case of emergencies.
Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2–5 years of security experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Experience in healthcare, senior living, or similar environment preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations
  • Knowledge of security systems and report writing
