About the role</b></h2><div><p>
We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Site Reliability Engineer (Observability) to join our Monitoring Team within IT Infrastructure Products. This role is central to our ambition to move beyond traditional monitoring and establish end-to-end observability across applications, infrastructure, and networks.</p><p><br>
In this role, you&rsquo;ll be part of a supportive, technically focused team working in an Agile DevOps environment to deliver observability capabilities aligned to business needs. You&rsquo;ll collaborate closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure our applications and infrastructure services are transparent, resilient, and performing as expected, enabling value to be delivered through proactive, insight-led monitoring.</p><p><br>
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you&rsquo;ll lead the deployment and evolution of observability tooling across our IT estate to support high-profile change initiatives. You&rsquo;ll develop a deep understanding of key business processes and apply your expertise in metrics, logs, and traces to define meaningful performance baselines, service indicators, and actionable alerting. Acting as a trusted authority on observability, you&rsquo;ll provide best-practice guidance to IT and business teams and work closely with architecture and design colleagues to embed effective, end-to-end monitoring strategies into new and evolving solutions.</p></div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
About you</b></h2><div><p>
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you&rsquo;ll use your knowledge and experience of observability and IT Event Management to deliver excellent results across a varied IT estate. You&rsquo;ll have knowledge of network fundamentals and possess the ITIL Foundation, having the ability to work well independently but also as part of a team to problem solve and innovate. With a focus on quality, you&rsquo;re passionate about technology and analysis and have excellent time management skills. You&rsquo;ll have supported a range of applications and infrastructure previously and have experience monitoring aspects of service, infrastructure, and network performance.</p><p><br>

About the role</b></h2><div><p>
We have an exciting new opportunity at NFU Mutual for a Test Data Engineer. This role sits within the IT Division and plays a central part in a strategic shift from traditional testing to a modern Quality Engineering model. You will help enable faster, more confident delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, trust and regulatory compliance.</p><p><br>
As a Test Data Engineer, your focus will be to define and evolve the organisation&rsquo;s approach to test data management. You will act as the subject matter expert for how test data is created, managed, protected and made available to delivery teams.</p><p><br>
Working closely with Quality Engineering and wider technology teams, you will set standards and create reusable patterns for test data management. You will also explore the use of automation, AI and machine learning to improve efficiency and consistency across delivery teams.</p><p><br>
In this role, you will support delivery teams by providing technical guidance and helping them adopt best practice approaches to test data creation, masking, synthesis and refresh. You will also ensure that all test data practices meet data protection and regulatory requirements, working with relevant teams across NFU Mutual to maintain compliance.</p><p><br>
You will lead the development of automated test data solutions, ensuring they integrate effectively with delivery pipelines and reduce manual effort. Alongside this, you will identify risks and constraints in test data processes, helping teams improve reliability, reduce duplication and avoid delays.</p></div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
About you</b></h2><div><p>
You are an experienced Quality Engineering or Data Engineering professional with a strong background in test data management. You are confident working in complex environments, bringing both technical depth and a collaborative mindset to help teams improve how test data is created, managed and used across delivery. You are comfortable working at pace, influencing stakeholders and driving improvements that enhance quality, consistency and efficiency.</p><p><br>
You combine technical expertise with strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem solving. You are able to navigate ambiguity, identify risks and work with others to implement practical, scalable solutions that support modern engineering practices.</p><p><br>
You&rsquo;ll also bring</p><br>

Experience in Test Data Management including data creation, masking, synthesis and refresh strategies</li><br>

At NFU Mutual, this Data Engineering Manager role sits within the pricing data workstream, focused on enabling pricing activity through high quality, accessible data. You will play a key role at the very start of pricing projects, ensuring the right data is in place so work can progress effectively.</p><p><br>
You will lead and manage projects to develop data capability, including data validation, data governance and asset management that support pricing and underwriting strategy.</p><p><br>
A core part of the role is delivering engineered datasets to support pricing decisions. You will provide accurate data, challenge assumptions and align technical solutions with business needs.</p><p><br>
Working closely with pricing teams and stakeholders across the business, you will build strong relationships and translate requirements into effective data solutions.
