Job Title: Industrial PainterJob SummaryThe Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying protective and decorative coatings to industrial structures, equipment, pipelines, and machinery. This role ensures corrosion protection, durability, and compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces by abrasive blasting, power tool cleaning, washing, sanding, or chemical treatmentApply industrial coatings such as epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich primers, and fireproofing systemsOperate spray equipment (airless, conventional, or plural component systems)Measure, mix, and apply coatings according to manufacturer and project specificationsMonitor and record environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point)Inspect coated surfaces for thickness, adhesion, defects, and finish qualityPerform touch-ups, repairs, and recoating as requiredMaintain painting tools, equipment, and spray systemsFollow safety procedures, including confined space and work-at-height requirementsUse appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Comply with quality control, environmental, and HSE standardsCoordinate work with supervisors, inspectors, and other tradesRequirements &amp; QualificationsProven experience as an Industrial PainterKnowledge of surface preparation standards (e.g., SSPC, NACE, ISO)Familiarity with industrial coating systems and manufacturers&rsquo; technical data sheets (TDS)Ability to read and follow drawings, specifications, and work instructionsUnderstanding of coating inspection tools (DFT gauges, wet film gauges)Physically fit for industrial work environmentsPreferred Skills &amp; CertificationsCertification in industrial coating or painting (NACE, SSPC, BGAS, or equivalent)Experience in oil &amp; gas, petrochemical, marine, or power plant projectsKnowledge of corrosion control and protective coating systemsAbility to work in confined spaces and at heightsSafety training (H2S, confined space, work at height)Working ConditionsIndustrial sites, often outdoors or in hazardous environmentsExposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, noise, and varying weather conditionsShift work and overtime may be requiredJob Type: Full-time
