Grouting Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for grouting (cleaning, chipping, pressure washing, etc.)
  • Mix cementitious, epoxy, polyurethane, or chemical grout according to manufacturer specifications
  • Operate grout pumps, mixers, injection equipment, and related tools
  • Perform pressure grouting, injection grouting, and void filling
  • Monitor grout flow, pressure, and curing process
  • Inspect completed grouting work for quality and compliance
  • Repair cracks, joints, and structural defects using appropriate grouting methods
  • Maintain tools, machinery, and equipment in safe working condition
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications
  • Document work performed and report to supervisors or site engineers

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
  • Experience in construction, civil works, or industrial maintenance
  • Knowledge of grout materials and mixing ratios
  • Ability to operate grouting pumps and injection systems
  • Understanding of safety standards (OSHA or local regulations)
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in confined or elevated spaces
  • Basic math skills for measuring and mixing materials
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions
