JOB OBJECTIVE<br>

<div><div>As a Human Resources Generalist at Norrell Construction, Inc., you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This role requires a blend of HR expertise including recruiting, onboarding, HRIS, and a strong understanding of the industrial sector to effectively manage recruitment and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong ethics, and the ability to multi-task and handle complex situations.</div></div><div><div><br>

</div><ul><li>REQUIRED: 3+ years of experience in a Human Resource Role</li><li>
Proven experience in human resources management or generalist roles with a strong understanding of human capital management practices.</li><li>
Demonstrated knowledge of employment &amp; labor law compliance, OSHA regulations, and workers&rsquo; compensation procedures.</li><li>
Hands-on experience with HRIS systems such as Workday and ADP.</li><li>
Experience with DISA, ProActive, HASC and Brazosport Safety Council.</li><li>
Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills for effective employee engagement, training delivery, and conflict resolution.</li><li>
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strategic planning capabilities.</li></ul><p></p><div><br>
KNOWLEDGE</div><div><b>
HR Administration &amp; Compliance:</b></div><ul><li>
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.</li><li>
Conducts background checks, reference checks, coordinate pre-employment assessments, and employee eligibility verifications.</li><li>
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.</li><li>
Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements, create accurate job descriptions, and determine the best sourcing channels.</li><li>
Promote the company&rsquo;s employer brand and build relationships with local trade schools, universities, and industry associations to enhance recruitment efforts.</li><li>
Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent for various positions, including skilled trades, project management, and administrative roles.</li><li>
Manage employee records in HRIS.</li><li>
Maintain accurate HR data entry in HRIS platforms like ADP, Workday, Smartsheet, and Sharepoint.</li><li>
Support change management initiatives by assisting with organization design projects, working with managers and leadership, and implementing new HR policies or systems.</li><li>
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.</li><li>
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.</li></ul><div><b>
Recruiting &amp; Talent Acquisition:</b></div><ul><li>
Conduct background checks, reference checks, and coordinate pre-employment assessments.</li><li>
Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements, create accurate job descriptions, and determine the best sourcing channels.</li><li>
Promote the company&rsquo;s employer brand and build relationships with local trade schools, universities, and industry associations to enhance recruitment efforts.</li><li>
Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent for various positions, including skilled trades, project management, and administrative roles.</li><li>
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating candidate assessments.</li><li>
Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to streamline the hiring process and maintain a strong candidate pipeline.</li><li>
