Job Overview
The Associate, Logistics works to support the overall Logistics Department. This individual should be highly organized and possess stellar written and verbal communication skills. Must have a high regard for customer satisfaction, be a team player, and can think quickly on their feet.
Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>
Answer customer inquiries, with customer service as a top priority through all interactions</li><li>
Develop a general understanding of customer specifics including site needs and pricing</li><li>
Schedule/monitor shipments, costs, timelines and productivity keeping in mind customer specifics</li><li>
Facilitate communication by liaising and negotiating with customers, suppliers, drivers and warehouse team</li><li>
Address and resolve shipments problems or delays</li><li>
Collaborate with operations internally and externally with customers and suppliers</li><li>
Driver and Truck file management</li><li>
Equipment Management including Preventative Maintenance and Repair</li><li>
Work with sales team to identify revenue opportunities and increase profitability</li><li>
Recommend process improvements for area of responsibility</li><li>
Prepare accurate reports for upper management and to support management of Driver Logs and Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports</li><li>
Report compliance matters to appropriate manager</li></ul>
Requirements:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, ability to monitor and track driver software and scheduling software</li><li>
Must possess positive, effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills</li><li>
Must possess emotional intelligence with outstanding interpersonal skills</li><li>
Familiarity with DOT compliance and best practices</li></ul>
