Job Overview

The Associate, Logistics works to support the overall Logistics Department. This individual should be highly organized and possess stellar written and verbal communication skills. Must have a high regard for customer satisfaction, be a team player, and can think quickly on their feet.

Primary Responsibilities

• Answer customer inquiries, with customer service as a top priority through all interactions
• Develop a general understanding of customer specifics including site needs and pricing
• Schedule/monitor shipments, costs, timelines and productivity keeping in mind customer specifics
• Facilitate communication by liaising and negotiating with customers, suppliers, drivers and warehouse team
• Address and resolve shipments problems or delays
• Collaborate with operations internally and externally with customers and suppliers
• Driver and Truck file management
• Equipment Management including Preventative Maintenance and Repair
• Work with sales team to identify revenue opportunities and increase profitability
• Recommend process improvements for area of responsibility
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management and to support management of Driver Logs and Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Report compliance matters to appropriate manager

• Must be resourceful, organized, and able to provide exceptional customer service
• Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ability to monitor and track driver software and scheduling software
• Must possess positive, effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Must possess emotional intelligence with outstanding interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with DOT compliance and best practices
