North Shore Children&rsquo;s Healthcare Glen Cove, NY (Nassau County)Job OverviewNorth Shore Children&rsquo;s Healthcare is a well-established, busy pediatric medical office seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team. This position combines front desk responsibilities with medical billing duties to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate billing.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients and families warmly and professionally</li><li>Schedule appointments, confirm patient information and manage patient check-in and check-out</li><li>Review medical records to ensure completeness and proper documentation for billing purposes</li><li>Collect copays and outstanding balances at the time of visit</li><li>Collect insurance information, verify coverage and assist with insurance pre-authorizations when needed</li><li>Assist with daily billing tasks, including payment posting, deposits and reconciliation</li><li>Answer phones and perform general front desk duties as needed</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience in a medical office preferred</li><li>Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills</li><li>Strong phone etiquette and ability to manage multi-line phone systems</li><li>Friendly and professional communication with excellent customer service skills</li><li>Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Comfortable using computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems</li><li>Familiarity with insurance verification and copay collection preferred</li><li>Knowledge of medical billing and ICD-10 coding a plus</li><li>Bilingual candidates are highly preferred</li></ul>Office Hours<ul><li>Monday&ndash;Thursday: 8:30 AM&ndash;7:00 PM</li><li>Friday: 8:30 AM&ndash;3:00 PM</li><li>Rotating Saturday: 8:30 AM&ndash;1:30 PM</li></ul>(Saturday rotation is required.
