NEMARole OverviewAs a Wheelchair Van Driver (MAVO credential required), you will be a key member of our team providing safe, dependable transportation for clients relying on wheelchair‐accessible vehicles. You&rsquo;ll help patients get to doctor&rsquo;s appointments, clinics, hospitals and other destinations &mdash; treating them with dignity and a smile.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Safely operate a wheelchair-accessible van, adhering to all DOT, Medicaid and agency regulations</li><li>Pick up and transport clients on schedule &mdash; being punctual is critical</li><li>Assist clients with boarding and disembarking &mdash; ensuring safe securement of wheelchairs</li><li>Provide courteous, patient-first customer service and maintain a professional appearance</li><li>Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and follow dispatch instructions</li><li>Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection and report any issues</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and readiness of your assigned van</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid NJ Driver&rsquo;s License in good standing</li><li>MAVO certification (or able to obtain)(available inhouse)</li><li>CPR (available inhouse)</li><li>Comfortable driving in both urban and suburban environments throughout Ocean &amp; Atlantic counties</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to interact respectfully with clients of all mobility levels</li><li>Punctual, reliable, dependable</li><li>Able to safely assist clients entering/exiting wheelchair vans and secure transport equipment</li><li>Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance awareness</li><li>Friendly, compassionate demeanor and strong customer service ethic</li></ul>Why NEMA?<ul><li>Join a well-established, trusted organization in the medical transportation field</li><li>Be part of a team that offers exceptional service, every time &mdash; our motto because we believe in quality of care.
