<div><p>Position Summary Northern Ohio Recovery Association (NORA), a nonprofit organization committed to promoting long-term recovery and wellness through peer-based support and evidence-based treatment services, is seeking a highly organized and strategic Project Director. This role is responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing agency projects across clinical, recovery support, and prevention divisions&mdash;particularly those funded by grants or contracts. The Project Director ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with funder requirements and NORA&rsquo;s mission. This position partners closely with leadership, grant administration, finance, and program teams to maintain high-quality implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement.</p><p>
'Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead planning, implementation, and oversight of assigned projects across NORA&rsquo;s clinical, recovery support, and prevention programs.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all grant and contract requirements, including documentation, timelines, deliverables, and reporting.</li><li>Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and workflows in collaboration with internal departments.</li><li>Monitor progress, identify barriers, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.</li><li>Collaborate with the Director of Grants Administration to support reporting, data collection, and communication with funders.</li><li>Provide direct supervision to project-specific staff and ensure quality and accountability across project teams.</li><li>Facilitate regular project meetings, prepare status updates, and communicate progress to leader</li><li>Facilitate regular project meetings, prepare status updates, and communicate progress to leadership.</li><li>Work with Finance to track project budgets, spending, and allowable costs.</li><li>Coordinate implementation of new programs, services, and quality improvement initiatives.</li><li>Support training, onboarding, and development of project staff.</li><li>Serve as a liaison with partners, stakeholders, and community agencies involved in project activities.</li><li>Ensure all project activities align with NORA standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practices.</li><li>Maintain high-quality records, documentation, and internal reporting systems.</li><li>Participate in strategic planning, organizational development efforts, and cross-departmental initiatives.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational capacity and mission delivery. Qualifications</li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management, program management, grant implementation, or related work in behavioral health, recovery services, or nonprofit settings.</li><li>Strong understanding of behavioral health operations, prevention services, and recovery support models.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong understanding of compliance, documentation requirements, and funder expectations.</li><li>Ability to work independently with sound judgment and strong organizational skills.</li><li>Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office, and data systems.</li><li>Experience in quality improvement or program evaluation.</li><li>Familiarity with outcome measurement and data-driven decision-making.</li><li>Strong ability to build relationships, lead cross-functional teams, and manage complex workflow systems.</li><li>Experience developing or improving SOPs, processes, and program structures. Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Business, or related field required. Master&rsquo;s degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered. Preferred Skills</p><ul><li>Experience managing state or federal grants (OhioMHAS, SAMHSA, HRSA, HUD, etc.).</li><li>Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred but not required.</li></ul></div>
